TNL sings ‘Let It Snow’ for U of T SLP Class of ’22 and ’23 Convocation

And that night, Oh boy did it SNOW

The Department of Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) at the University of Toronto trains postgraduate students to become the clinicians who care for those kids and adults afflicted with compromised ability to communicate verbally. As barbershoppers, Ontario District’s “Harmonize For Speech” division is our charitable arm dedicated to assisting Ontarians who are challenged in this way and one of the ways we help is to provide scholarships and awards to SLP Students. We really do “Sing That They Shall Speak”.  Each year, it is with pride and pleasure that we financially assist several of these students to complete their Masters Degrees in Clinical Medicine as Speech Language Pathologists and it has become customary for us to sing them a barbershop song at the Convocation Ceremony. So this year, the year of COVID, was a virtual Convocation and  it was a privilege for Toronto Northern Lights (TNL) Chorus to offer this COVID performance of “Let It Snow”. You should also know that over the years, it has become customary for the graduating class to sing something right back at us! Have a look at other news items on this website to discover the U of T  SLP spirit of harmony!
