Dawg Haus Night Another Huge Success

The Board Trustees of Harmonize for Speech (BOT of H4S) would like to thank the Kitchener/Waterloo Chapter of the Ontario District of the Barbershop Harmony Society for once again hosting an incredible fundraising event known as “Dawg House Night” at the Portuguese Club in Kitchener. This is an annual event and funds raised are donated to H4S. This year the event raised over $4000.00 and Bill Wells of Barrie/TNL donated his winnings of $600.00 from the half-and-half draw to H4S as well. We are truly grateful to Bill for his generosity in supporting such a worthy cause as H4S. The event was very well attended, and we would also like to thank the many quartets and choruses who performed and entertained the audience. Thank you to thank Neil Atchison who once again did an outstanding job as Master of Ceremonies. The first photo shows the amazing founder and current Co-Chair of H4S, George Shields, who concluded the evening’s festivities by directing the audience in Singing “We Sing That they shall Speak / Keep the Whole World Singing”. George has happily handled this job for almost all previous “Dawg Haus Nights”. H4S relies on donations from chapter fundraising and donations from individual members. If you were unable to attend “Dawg House Night”, this Year, we would strongly encourage you to do so next year. Remember as the song says; “We Sing that they Shall Speak”.
