Co-chairs of Harmonize for Speech (H4S), George Shields and Jim Finlay along with Earle Goodwin and Greg Shields, members of East York Barbershoppers Chapter of the Ontario District of the Barbershop Harmony Society International (BHS) attended the University of Toronto Speech/Language Pathology Alumni Association Convocation Reception on October 28th. They provided information about the activities of the Ontario District of the Society and about the official charity of the District, H4S. Jim and George presented the H4S Academic Achievement Award (a plaque and $1000.00) To Hilary Cooke. The four barbershoppers then entertained the audience with the District’s two unofficial theme songs, “We Sing that They Shall Speak” and “Keep the Whole World Singing”. This is an annual event, and the Board of Trustees of H4S look forward to presenting it again next year.
